Public notices

NWS public alerts

Current official U.S. watches, warnings, advisories and other NWS-distributed messages, with original issue times and instructions.

CURRENT FEED / NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE

What this feed covers.

This page displays the NWS public feed: weather watches, warnings, advisories, and some non-weather messages relayed by the NWS. It is not a complete EAS or IPAWS feed, and a listed alert does not confirm that it aired on TV or radio.

Looking for the EAS feed?

Open the FEMA EAS live feed ↗

FEMA’s EAS feed has its own frequently refreshed page. The separate IPAWS alert archive includes broader public-warning records from state, local and other authorities, including tests and cancellations. FEMA delays this public archive by at least 24 hours; it is historical, not a live warning feed.

How NWS, EAS and IPAWS differ

NWS identifies the source of this feed. The Emergency Alert System (EAS) is a delivery system for warnings on TV, radio and other participating services. Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) on phones are a separate delivery channel within the wider IPAWS system. Not every NWS message is intended for EAS.

FEMA’s live IPAWS All-Hazards Information Feed is free of charge but requires an access agreement with FEMA. That is a separate service from the direct FEMA EAS feed shown on its own page. Keep your local warning channels enabled.
