Broader IPAWS warning records across EAS and WEA pathways, including non-weather messages, tests and cancellations. Historical: delayed at least 24 hours.
EAS and other public-warning records.
OpenFEMA publishes archived IPAWS messages with a deliberate 24-hour delay. IPAWS carries alerts for EAS on TV/radio, WEA on phones, and other pathways. The archive can include weather, civil emergencies, tests, updates, and cancellations; not every record is intended for EAS. These records are for research: they are not active warnings, and inclusion does not prove delivery on a particular TV, radio, or phone.
Tests can have CAP status “Actual.” We also inspect test event codes such as RWT, RMT, NPT and DMO, and label them as tests. Cancellation messages remain cancellations. Original issuer wording is retained; FEMA does not validate every message’s content.
